The most common symptoms of preeclampsia are

-headache

-blurred vision or hypersensitivity to light,

Preeclampsia is found in 8% of all births worldwide.

In the United States, it is the cause of about 15% of premature births (birth before 37 weeks of pregnancy).

Risk factors:

-obesity,

-autoimmune diseases,

-age > 40,

-multiple pregnancy.

IDENTIFICATION OF WOMEN AT RISK OF DEVELOPING PREECLAMPSIA ALLOWS FOR THE USE OF APPROPRIATE PREGNANCY MANAGEMENT, WHICH SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCES THE RISK OF COMPLICATIONS FOR MOTHER AND CHILD!
